From a parcel of 1.35 hectares on clay limestone soil, the Echzeaux grand cru from Domaine Lamarche comes from vines with an average age of 30 years. It is matured in oak barrels for 16 to 20 months, the proportion of new barrels varies depending on the vintage, but can be anything up to 100% for certain years.
